Cedar Keshet
NFVCC member, Cedar Keshet, is getting ready for a solo exhibit entitled Trees Through Time: The Tree Hugging Cowgirl Rides Again at the 610 Arts Collective in Ridgway, CO on August 2-28, 2023. Opening Reception on August 4th from 6pm-7:30pm with an artist talk at 6:30pm. Cedar is collaborating with the Colorado State Forest Service and the National Forest Foundation to help raise awareness of the importance of caregiving as well as planting trees.

Dark Skies Paonia
Dark Sky Tourism – Dark sky tourism includes learning to conserve the dark sky resource in order to experience the wonder and beauty of truly dark places with very little artificial light; as well as places with beautifully-designed and responsible outdoor lighting that is safe, effective, efficient, healthy and aesthetically-pleasing; welcoming the visitor to relax and enjoy the quiet and spectacular dark sky nightscapes, and to settle into the nourishing rhythm of the natural cycle of light and dark.
Dione Holt
NFVCC member, Dione Holt, will be teaching plein air classes at the Redstone General store this summer. The class is 3 hours and includes lunch for $50 per student. Dates for the classes are July 7th, August 4th and September 8th. Classes are from 9am to 12pm in front of the store and by the river across the boulevard.

The Pun Party on Saturday, July 1st at 8pm

What’s the lowdown on this pun-down showdown? Oh, the punsanities we have in store! At this pun party, you’ll find yourself embroiled in a whirlwind of punny predicaments. There will be pun-games galore, where the only way to lose is to frown. Don’t worry if you have two left feet, as our dance floor accepts all types of movers, shakers, and terribly-timed shimmy-makers. We guarantee you’ll have a “reel” good time!
Heidi Hudek, NFVCC member and singer, is performing with her band ISO at Happy Hour at Blue Sage for Final Friday, June 30th at 5pm-7pm.
Ildi Ingraham, NFVCC member and local massage therapist and Sound Healer, will be doing group Sound Healings at the Blue Sage Center for the Arts on the first Sunday of every month from 3 to 4pm. The next one is this coming Sunday, July 2nd and the one after that is August 6th. Sound Healing instruments will transport you to a state of higher consciousness and deep relaxation. Please bring a mat to lie on, perhaps a pillow and blanket, or whatever you need to be very comfortable. Learn More.

Paonia Books is delighted to welcome poet Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer to Paonia Books on July 6th! Rosemerry will be reading from ALL THE HONEY, and in conversation with Christie Aschwanden, co-host of their creativity podcast, Emerging Form. Our event begins at 5.30 at the store. Rosemerry will also be teaching a class from 2-4 pm. Seats are $35. This class is larger than our usual size and will meet in the Community Room at KVNF. Plein Air Painting

Prema Rose is moving forward with the production of The MicroCosmic Cartoon Show, her animated / live-action musical. Prema has all herr production pieces put together to sign with a production company except one major one. That is, to hire a casting director and attach at least one top tier actor. To that effort, Prema is fundraising through Friends of the MicroCosmic Cartoon Show, LLC, a 501c3 nonprofit. Please Donate Today!
