Theoni Designs
Susie Kaldis Lowe

I have been an artist my whole life. Formally, I trained to be an artist at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. Receiving a Bachelor Degree in Fine Art in August 2004, I officially began my career as a working artist. I strive to use my art education – with practices in color theory, composition, and conceptualism – to bring this art form out into the world. I have searched to see not only what is beautiful in the world, but also what is real. This philosophy translates into my artwork. I create jewelry because it makes me feel good to work with my hands in a very exact method – it both relaxes and stimulates me (like meditation, exercise, or prayer). I use real stones and metals in my jewelry because I think they are beautiful and carry a healing energy. I truly believe that art mimics nature and vise versa. Designing and crafting jewelry to be adorned by women appeals to me in a very personal way. I have always been a gal who loves to accessorize. From the time of the cave-woman to Ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome, men and women alike have been wearing adornments that signify taste, culture, and class. I strive to construct jewelry reflective of the old world, as well as characteristic of forward moving notions. Theoni jewelry is both elegant and refined. By purchasing my jewelry, you are not only adorning yourself with something beautiful, but also making a statement about who you are. Enjoy!
